  1. Everyone, In my web app, I needed to get the URL that delivered the app to the browser. I initially thought there might be an object in SMS that would give me this info, but after looking, nothing looked like the obvious solution. So I knew these could be gotten in Javascript so that is what I did. My question is this, is there a better way to do this in SMS? Thanks for the feedback. Below is what I came up with in the InitializeForm procedure. procedure TForm1.InitializeForm; var URL: String; HOST: String; begin inherited; // this is a good place to initialize components // Inline Javascript to get data back to SMS asm @URL = window.location.href; @HOST = window.location.host; console.log('******************'); // Checking in browser to make sure it was correct console.log(window.location.href); end; FURL := URL; // Private object variable for use later FHOST := HOST; // Private object variable for use later end;

    Vue.js

    Hi, Although SMS has done a brilliant job with their approach to HTML forms + css, I am interested in continuing my current use of Vue.js. I expect it to be straightforward, as the js/asm work seems also brilliant, but wonder if anyone has had any experience? Thanks, Jim

    JavaScript Week - Free JavaScript Books

    Learning Javascript is essential to understanding SMS and how it all works. Pack books is giving away a free Javascript e-book daily and today I picked up " JavaScript and JSON Essentials [eBook]", Yesterday I got "Object-Oriented JavaScript - Second Edition [eBook]" and the first one I got was " AngularJS Directives [eBook]" It's a hard deal to beat. https://www.packtpub.com/

    Long click/ long press

    Hi, I am looking to a way to detect a long tap, say 2-3 seconds on an image or panel so as to enhance user functionality. There is some JS code for this on http://jsfiddle.net/f23ZW/ Any simple way I can do this using Object Pascal?
  7. Hi, It seems that Smart Pascal is very much toward mobile web programming. Hence the IDE is named Smart Mobile Studio. But, I'd like to use Smart Pascal (SP) as pure replacement for Java Script to create dynamic web page (not web app). Like dynamically create div on runtime, flowing page layout, AJAX, etc. Unfortunately, the documentation is very lacking for such purpose, neither are the examples. So, would you please enhance the documentation and examples for regular web page building using Smart Pascal? Thank you. Regards, -Bee
