The 'hello world' app in AI seems to be pong


So here it is : a pong game driven by a neural network

Source code incl a 3 layer neural network component here


The network is pre-trained with a large set of iterations (re-training takes about 20 min) 


(just reload if it ties itself in a knot)

As I understand it feedforward neural networks are pretty good at


- regression (finding a single number based on some inputs)

- classification (putting inputs into a number of predefined classes)

- prediction (predicting events in time)

- robotics (as in sensors influencing motor controls)

- are used extensively in deep learning systems


and not so good at


- clustering (unsupervised learning where inputs are clustered automatically)

- optimisation problems
