going serverless aws lambda

Instead of renting a server somewhere, serverless architecture or faas (function as a service) makes it possible to store parts of an application / functions at a provider, which can then be called from any client.

Microsoft, Google and Amazon provide these services with Amazon being the oldest, appropriately called AWS Lambda

There are some projects listed in the Featured Demo section under AWS/Lambda, so apparently this can be used in Smart applications

Has anyone used this or similar features ?
