That's the theory. In practice it's a whole other ball game. The asynchronous nature of JS and especially mobile devices offer a whole new set of challenges. For example, if you look at the first few versions of Smart Mobile Studio, there were controls that did work in a normal browser, but which were unusable on mobile phones. And these days you need to target mobile devices right away and not only the desktop or desktop browsers.

I'm not saying that it can't be done, but that it's hard work and there are quite some surprises waiting for them.
